This position is responsible for leading and supporting all industrial chemical manufacturing and distribution functions and achieving Safety, Quality, Customer service, and cost performance metric targets. This includes direct supervision of personnel, training, production scheduling and execution, inventory management, shipping/receiving, fleet management, maintenance, cost management and control, site security, and continuous improvement.


* Safe work practices, storage, and handling of industrial chemicals and hazardous materials

* Hiring, training, support, and supervision of plant personnel

* Processing, packaging, material handling, and distribution execution and efficiencies

* Safety and Quality program implementation, policy/process adherence, and risk management

* Regulatory compliance (OSHA, ISO, EPA, DOT, CFATS)

* Planning, budgeting, operating expense management and cost control

* Preventative Maintenance Program management and maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds

* Capital project planning and construction oversight

* Emergency response at Incident Commander level

* Site security as Facility Security Officer


* Bachelor's degree required with engineering or other technical degree preferred.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution environments with emphasis on DOT hazardous materials bulk liquid handling, storage, and pressure cylinder packaging

* Management experience in plant/warehouse environments, including minimum of five years of direct labor supervisory and team leadership experience.

* Working knowledge of OSHA, ISO, and DOT transportation and packaging/labeling regulations

* Working knowledge and application of Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma principles and tools in plant/warehouse environment.

* Working knowledge of MRP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and Microsoft applications (Word and Excel)

* Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills
